Leading the transition by making the most of what we have - How we work with sustainability
We walk the talk by setting plans to reach net zero, challenging ourselves to create a more sustainable value chain, and limiting our emissions to the minimum. Science-based carbon emission reduction targets are set for the near term and a net zero emissions target for 2050 covering the full value chain.
We monitor our progress – and we aim to act fast. In 2024 we announced plans to effectively reach net zero targets by 2027 in our own operations - scope 1 & 2 - three years ahead of the originally announced target year. For value chains leading in and out of our operations (scope 3) we aim for a 50% reduction of emissions by 2030. These are important steps to reach the net zero target across all scopes by 2050 - in line with the UN Paris Agreement.
